ZONES

Within Pontotoc County there are three Zones. Each Zone has its own fare for public and discounted rides. The Zone and its applicable fare is determined by the furtherest of the origin or the destination.

For example:

A. The Library to Wal Mart is a Zone 1 ride because both the origin and destination are encompassed within Zone 1.

B. The Library to Pre Paid Legal is a Zone 2 ride because the destination Pre Paid sits in Zone 2. The same applies to IRT to Wal Mart as IRT sits in Zone 2.

To ascertain correct Fare / Zone they are as follows (fares for zones can be found under the Fares tab):

Zone 1 = a square identified as:

North Boundary - Tower Road

East Boundary - Tipton Terrace

South Boundary - 32nd Street

West Boundary - Latta Road

Zone 2 =

Four miles out from the boundary lines of Zone 1

Zone 3 =

Zone 2 boundary lines out to the county lines

Zone 4 =

All rides that have an origin or destination outside Pontotoc County

Zone 1 requires a one-hour notice in order for us to guarantee you arrive timely to an appointment

Zone 2 requires a two-hour notice for timely transportation

Zone 3 require a three-hour notice for timely transportaiton

Both Zones 2 and 3 are limited to occuring no later than 2pm each day unless prior

approval has been granted.

Rides in all Zones may be prescheduled up to one month in advance.
